Educational Qualifications: Assoc. Prof. PhD P. Marinova has graduated in Prof. Assen Zlatarov University – Burgas with professional qualification "Chemist" and "Chemistry teacher" in 2001. In 2005 she becomes an Assistant Professor at the "Paisii Hilendarski" University of Plovdiv in the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry with Methodology of Chemistry Education, in 2007 - senior assist., in 2010 - chief assist. prof. She got her PhD in 2011 in the same department with supervisor Prof. М. Мitewa (Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”). Later, in 2015 she becomes Associated Professor.

Professional Experience: The scientific subject of assoc. prof. PhD P. Marinova is related to the study of the complexing ability of a number of biologically active organic ligands with transition metal ions, isolation of the obtained metal complexes in pure form and characterization with a view to their future study of cytotoxic and antimicrobial action and finding potential practical application in the field of medicine, agricultural science and practice. The main scientific subject in my research work are: 1. Synthesis of new metal complexes with 2-substituted 1,3-indanediones (2-cinnamoyl-1,3-indanediones). 2.       Synthesis and structural characterization of new metal complexes obtained on the basis of a series of spirohydantoins, their mono- and dithio derivatives, derivatives and analogues of the pyrimidine base uracil in the RNA molecule. 3.    Create of single crystals of cycloalkanespirodithiohydantoins and investigation their structure by the method of X-ray diffraction.
