Does the publication in the "International Science Journal of Jurisprudence & Philosophy" comply with the Procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy?
Clause 11 of the Procedure states, among other things, the following: "The main scientific results of the dissertation must be covered in at least three scientific publications that reveal the main content of the dissertation. Such scientific publications include:
"at least one article in the periodical scientific publications of other countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and/or the European Union, from the scientific direction on which the applicant's dissertation was prepared..."
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine by order "On publication of the results of dissertations for obtaining the scientific degrees of doctor and candidate of sciences" determined the following, including: "2) the main scientific results of the dissertation for obtaining the scientific degree of candidate of sciences must be covered in no less than three scientific publications, which reveal the main content of the dissertation. Such scientific publications include: at least one article in periodical scientific publications of other countries that are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and/or the European Union, from the scientific direction for which the applicant's dissertation was prepared..."
Why are the purpose and conclusions of the manuscript important?
In accordance with the Procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, clause 9 of the Procedure "Articles are counted according to the topic of the dissertation, provided that the scientific results obtained are substantiated in accordance with the purpose of the article (task) and conclusions, as well as the publication of no more than one article in one issue (number) of a scientific publication.
Articles published after the entry into force of this Procedure are counted according to the topic of the dissertation only if they have an active DOI identifier (Digital Object Identifier), except for publications containing information classified as a state secret or information for official use.
