Abstract

The article analyzes the international experience of forming a multicultural personality through the prism of intercultural communication in the context of globalization. Special attention is paid to the theoretical aspects of multicultural education, in particular, the definition of the concept of multicultural personality, consideration of the main concepts and approaches to its formation in the educational systems of different countries. The article covers the experience of European, North American and Asian countries that implement programs that promote the development of intercultural competence of students and prepare young people for effective interaction in conditions of cultural diversity. In particular, specific approaches to multicultural education are considered, including the study of languages, traditions and cultures, interactive teaching methods, as well as the role of intercultural adaptation. The article also considers Ukrainian research in this area, relating to the development of a multicultural personality in the Ukrainian context. The main prospects for the development of multicultural education in Ukraine are identified, which include the creation of multicultural educational environments and the active participation of students in international exchanges and projects.
