Planning and risk assessment in the development of startup projects in a competitive environment

Abstract

The current state of the economy of any country that positions itself as market or mixed is characterized by a fairly high degree of competition, which constantly accompanies the development of enterprises, the implementation of new business ideas, projects and startups, as well as, directly, the process of selling goods, works and services. In order to preserve and strengthen their position on the market, enterprises must solve one of the main tasks, namely: increasing their competitive advantages, which is impossible without identifying and assessing risks and threats of activity. The article defines that the development and implementation of startup projects requires a detailed analysis of the external and internal environment in order to identify and assess risks that may arise at all stages of project implementation. Risks are inherent in all spheres of activity and types of start-up projects, even with an economic situation conducive to business development, and in conditions of military operations, a drop in economic and financial potential, the risk increases dramatically. Understanding this, there is an urgent need for timely identification of risks, determination of their probability and qualitative assessment. The article analyzes the definitions of the concept of risks and formed a vision of this concept specifically for start-up projects in the conditions of a competitive environment. The classification of possible risks that arise during the implementation of business projects in wartime and taking into account external factors of influence has been improved. Methods of identifying and responding to risks arising at various stages of project development and implementation are considered. The most effective models of effective risk management were studied, and based on them; an algorithm for responding to the main types of business risks arising in modern conditions was formed.
