Economic security as a mandatory element of sustainable development

Abstract

The article is devoted to a more detailed coverage of issues of economic security from the perspective of achieving sustainable development by the business entity. The main functions of economic security are considered. Attention is paid to the coverage of issues of economic security at the country level. The priorities of the country's development were considered, and economic security was considered as one of them. The existence of differences in the interests of the country and ordinary people, its citizens, was noted. It was determined that economic security is the basis of general security. As a general concept, security has various types and subtypes such as national, national, social, environmental, military defense, economic security, information and communication, and personal security. It is noted that economic security is a state of the system that ensures the sustainable development of socio-economic relations between business entities (producers and consumers), between individuals and state institutions in the field of economic activity within the national economy and beyond. The article claims that, first of all, the vision of economic security begins at the level of economic entities, and only then spreads to other levels of society. It is noted that economic security is the most important type of security. But there is still no common vision of this phenomenon. Therefore, there are difficulties in distinguishing responsibilities and functions between institutions that ensure economic security. It is noted that it is expedient to create a methodological and theoretical approach for all levels (degrees) of security, and to develop the basis of the concept and mechanism of economic security. It is shown that the content of this concept includes: adequate provision of the country's security, i.e. its ability to resist all potential threats and dangers, provision of sustainable development of the country's economy.
