Laboratory tests of the developed working body of a potato harvester for digging and separation

The article presents the results of laboratory tests of the developed digging-separating working body of a potato harvester. The purpose of the study was to assess the efficiency and functionality of the working body, which combines digging potatoes from the soil and separating root crops from impurities (stones, weeds and other particles). During the tests, the main parameters of the body design, dynamic characteristics, separation efficiency, as well as the influence of different types of soils on the quality of work were analyzed. Special attention was paid to energy consumption and wear resistance of materials. The results of the studies allow us to draw conclusions about the feasibility of using the proposed working body in real operating conditions, as well as to identify the necessary directions for further improving its design.References
