Method of comprehensive assessment of the level of economic security of the enterprise

Abstract

The article researches modern approaches to assessing the level of economic security of an enterprise. Conducting a timely assessment of the level of economic security gives the ability to quickly eliminate various threats or adapt to existing conditions, which ensures the stable operation of the company. The purpose of the scientific research is the analysis of the approaches to determining the level of economic security of the enterprise existing in the economic literature, as well as the development of a methodology for comprehensive assessment of its level. Analyzing the state of economic literature, we see the existence of a significant number of methodological approaches to assessing the level of economic security of an enterprise, which differ in the quality of information support, algorithmic and mathematical complexity. Therefore, this determines the necessity and expediency of systematic classification of existing methods and their generalization for further selection of the most complete and reliable methods. An analysis of the main advantages and disadvantages of each of them was carried out. The author proposed a methodical approach based on the generalization of several different approaches, consisting of successive stages of assessing the comprehensive level of economic security of the enterprise. At the first stage, the research information base is determined. The sources of information should be the company's financial statements, main technical and economic indicators, labor indicators, environmental conditions, etc. At the second stage, indicators are selected to assess the economic security of each structural component of the enterprise. This stage largely determines the effectiveness of the entire economic security management system. The assessment methodology proposed by us will make it possible to assess each component of economic security, namely financial, technical-technological, intellectual-personnel, political-legal and environmental to obtain a general indicator of the level of economic security of the enterprise.
