Abstract

The purpose of the article is the analysis of problems related to the creation of a global canvas of the city. Harmonious interaction of objects of space, landscape, man and light. The structure of the combination of key light formations is described. The dependence of the construction of light lines on the physiological needs and features of human vision is analyzed. The concept of human foveal and peripheral vision is considered. A hierarchical structure of certain differences in lighting equipment is established. In this way, four main lines of lighting are distinguished, namely: functional, informative, architectural and performative. Architectural lighting is a group of lighting products that works to emphasize the elegance of the facade or structural features of the building. Functional lighting is a group of devices equipped with infrastructure facilities, transport hubs and pedestrian traffic for a comfortable and safe human existence in the night city. Informational lighting - coloring of advertising and objects of commercial function. Performative lighting is a group of devices aimed at creating a dominant object in the generally perceived context of the street by a person, they can act as decorations for holidays, expositions, etc. These lines grow parallel and develop simultaneously. Taking this into account, it is necessary to correctly prioritize lighting of one or another form depending on the context and many factors affecting visual perception. Based on this, the author separates the methods
